I do not often get the opportunity to spend time in nature, but when I do, I grab it with both hands. Concrete and bricks just do not match nature when it comes to life changing experiences. Fact is, what can bricks and concrete teach you? Nature on the other hand is a bustling hub of life.
Everyday I drive past a beautiful open field on my way to work. I do not like traffic jams, but I am glad that there is one on this particular road since it gives me the opportunity to observe how nature changes during different seasons.
Recently we had a very dry season and the usually beautiful green field turned into a dull and lifeless field. The only thing that could save it was rain. Ironically instead of rain, I observed how a fire destroyed it all. The only thing left was the lingering smell of burnt grass. Finally we had some rain and I could admire the spectacle of life as it returned to the destroyed field. It started with a few new green blades of grass but has since grown into a beautiful and lush green field. I have never seen it so beautiful. Just shows you what a few drops of water can do! Incredibly I had a similar experience in my personal life at more or less the same time.

We had a beautiful morning with no wind and a clear sky. I could not wait to get to the golf course that afternoon for a quick 9 holes. Playing on an 18 handicap, I really enjoyed my game and had a few good shots.

My name is Lindsay Smit. My testimony is about God’s provision. Round about half way through 2007 things were pretty tough financially for us. We were not managing to make it through the month as far as groceries and petrol was concerned. Anyway, I had been going through the book of Matthew and got to Matthew 6: 9 -13 which is the Lord’s Prayer. Verse 11 says Give us today our daily bread. So I began asking God each day to provide our daily bread. A couple days later I read Matthew 7:25 – 34 Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than, clothes? Look at the birds of the air, they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labour or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendour was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So, do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. This just cemented in what God had been saying to me through the Lord’s Prayer.

In September this year we celebrated 10 years of marriage and a few weeks prior to that we celebrated Carrie’s 1st birthday. So we have a lot to celebrate as we dedicate her life to our Lord. We feel that we need to share a brief testimony of the road we traveled to get to this point…
Most parents experience the miracle of childbirth and yet some parents experience the miracle of adoption! For those who don’t know our story we were blessed to experience this awesome miracle of adopting Carrie.

When Trevor asked for testimonies a few Sundays ago, I thought, “Yes, there are a few I could share” but then decided that any ONE testimony could NEVER tell all God has done for me so folks, please just allow me to say that if there is anyone who is prepared to stand up and fight for, bring glory and honour to, Jesus – it is I. Allow me to tell you that from my own personal experiences with Our Loving Father, Jesus Christ, (and there have been many) everything you hear from the pulpit of this wonder-filled and spirit driven church is 100% TRUE.

In 1983 Peter and I were in Knysna to help start a fellowship of people from various denominations who had experienced the Holy Spirit and wanted to move into a deeper place with God.
Also in Knysna at the time were Clive and Glenis Harding (the older generation will remember 4 Jacks and a Jill). Well, 2 of the Jacks and the Jill were in Sedgefield, where we also found a place to stay. The reason for the Harding’s move from Johannesburg was twofold, firstly to escape the rat race and secondly Glenis was joining up with a spiritist circle. However, God had other plans and they both met the Lord and got radically saved. They were so hungry. This is when we met them. We became really good friends and they were a strong support to us as the new kids in the area.

Four of the members of Lighthouse Family Church visit the Provincial Hospital every second Saturday afternoon. We pray for the patients and as the opportunity provides –seek to share the gospel with them. Keith, one of our members had the privilege of leading one of the men to accept Christ as his saviour. After praying with him, the patient asked if we could not get him a size 8 pair of shoes. I asked our minister if I could share about the need during our Sunday service, and he said yes.

I left my previous place of employment about 6 weeks ago. Time really flies when you’re busy and happy, more particularly happy at work. Not that I am not happy out of work, but you will understand as you read along.

This morning I asked the Lord to help me with some workflows that I am doing. I finished 3 already and was actually praying for 2 others that I wanted to work on. I was very glad and astonished that the Lord put a thought in my mind, while praying, that there was a small but important link missing in one of the flows that was supposed to be finished. God is truly amazing in that He knows what we need even if we do not ask for it.
Yes success is always directly related to your hardwork and potential which to want to devote for it. If you are sincere with your job then God's helping hand is with you. As, recently i have passed my mcts training but it is with the will of God. So, do not under estimate yourself.

According to my friend, he spoke incredible truths to her that only God would have known. As a result, she has a new career by following the Prophet's directions.
How real is prophecy? Anyone have a real experience they could share? www.BishopJordan.com Let me know what you think?
