Share with your friends. We had a beautiful morning with no wind and a clear sky. I could not wait to get to the golf course that afternoon for a quick 9 holes. Playing on an 18 handicap, I really enjoyed my game and had a few good shots.
All of a sudden a thick cloud of fog invaded the course. At the short sixth hole I could still see the green, but at the par4 seventh I could barely see 50m in front of me. I was determined to finish my 9 holes and realized that the only thing I could do was to completely rely on my swing. So I took my three Wood, which normally hits the ball about 220m, kept my eye on the ball and played the shot. The swing felt good, but I was still a bit unsure as I walked towards the area where the ball should be, after a good shot. I was absolutely ecstatic to find the ball in the expected area. Again I could not see the green, but faith in my swing helped me to get the ball on the green and a single putt gave me the birdie I will not forget. Pondering about it, I could not help, but think of the incredible life lesson I just learned.....
As soon as I stopped focusing on trying to see where the ball goes, my shots were perfect, for I focused only on my swing. I don’t know if you are the same, but at times I worry so much about things that should or should not occur in the future that I completely forget to focus on what I need to do today. My future is in the hands of the Lord Jesus Christ. Christ paid the price so that I can have everlasting life. What I do here on earth is only temporary, so why worry about anything. The most important thing is to focus on the Lord and to give all your worries to him and trust that he will take care of it. No need to think about it, just do it and trust in Him
