Petrol price decrease!

Sounds totally outrageous! But the petrol price can come down. In July 2008 I looked at the petrol price, which by that time had reached R10.40 per liter! This was absolutely ridiculous as it was now becoming impossible to make ends meet. I therefore spoke to my wife, Dianne. I asked her, “Do you believe that the price of petrol can come down on the first Wednesday in August?” Her answer was, “Why not?” So I said, “Then let us trust God that the price of petrol would decrease by R2.50 per liter.” 

Full of faith that my prayer would be answered, but also a bit apprehensive, I spoke to some of my colleagues about this. One of them said well it should come down with R3.00 instead! So I spoke to the Lord again and I adjusted my initial request to R3.00.
 
Now I proceeded to carefully monitor crude oil and dollar prices. I was very excited when I saw the price of crude oil falling and our currency strengthening! We were on track for a price decrease on that first Wednesday in August. That month the price of petrol did not decrease by R3.00 but it did decrease! The crude price fell from around USD 147.00 to around USD 39.00 in 5 months! By December 2008 the petrol price fell by more than R3.00 per liter!
 
This made me realize that we should never ever limit what God can do!
