I hate my work

I left my previous place of employment about 6 weeks ago. Time really flies when you’re busy and happy, more particularly happy at work. Not that I am not happy out of work, but you will understand as you read along.

Ever needed something really important to do your work, but end up waiting six months before you get it. If it was only 1 item and it happened maybe once, it could have been acceptable. When it seems to be the norm, I bet that you would most probably get a bit frustrated. Well, that was just the normal way of doing things and for anybody who wants to work it is very frustrating. Unfortunately that was not all that was terrible at my previous workplace, but I would rather get to what I am trying to say.

The way in which things were done (lets be fancy and call it systems) created a huge amount of frustrations and resulted in very unhappy people. Every day people were complaining about something. Obviously with good reason, but at the end of the day so much complaining gets everybody down. You just get to the point where you do not want to be there or do not want to do anything. It was nothing strange for people to be booked of for stress and depression. However amongst this all there was a unique individual.

This lady remained positive in a place full of negativity. She did a lot more than was expected of her and gave an excellent service to the rest of the people employed. In a depressive place she was a shining light and an example to others. No, she is not perfect. I mean, who really is perfect? What was the difference then? Yes, she is a believer in Christ, but so were others.

I do believe that the difference was that she truly trusts in God and that she is not working on her own, but with God. I believe that as we grow in our relationship with God we learn to trust Him more and rely less and less in our own abilities and strength. I do believe that is the only way she can be so strong. In reality then she is not alone, but holding onto God.

So if you do not know God yet, it is time for you to give your life to him. If you struggle in difficult situations it is time to trust Him more and to rely less on yourself. All you really need to do to get to know God is to spend time praying, reading the bible and fellowship with other believers.
