All about Real Life Experiences

Real Life Experiences was created to give people all over the world the opportunity to tell the world their Real Life Experiences with God.  We believe that God is not only in the Bible or in our church buildings or in our history books, but very active in all our lives.  God wants to have a love relationship with every person that is walking this earth.

God do not want us to be religious, but to have a real love relationship with Him.  He wants us to live to the fullest extend possible.  Therefore we also want people to share with the world any other unique experiences they had, ranging from comical, adventure, nature or even embarrasing.

Below is the 10 most recent real life experiences.  We have categorized Real Life Experiences into the following categories: love, addictions, healings, finance or the other category.  The website will grow and we will change or add new categories as we grow.  If you have any suggestions for new categories or anything else that could improve the website, please contact us.

Gods hand upon my life

I got married to a man i didnt know and was warned not to marry him. Everyone saw it coming including God and showed me the red light. But i stubbornly went into it our 1st 2yrs was full of horror; fighting, exchange of words etc. I had noticed his private part wasnt normal and asked him,he would defer it and say some people's own are like that. No issues came so, wehad to go do fertility test. Only to discover that, he was sterile beyond medical repair. He pleaded i shuldnt leave him. My family so disliked my actions and begged me to come out,i refused.

ARE YOU………? [2]

Following on ARE YOU?  “It’s a long time since I saw you, Mike.” I’ve had the flu very badly,” said Mike. After tea, I asked Mike if we could continue with our conversation about being a converted Christian. He asked if I did not tell my parents about nearly being knocked by a motor car. “My father was a very strict person and I knew I would have gotten a hiding for being careless.”

God's intervention saved me from crashing into a Truck

I recently experienced God's hand in a very personal way as he intervened to prevent me from making an accident. I was behind a truck waiting for the traffic light to turn green. As soon as the light turned green the truck started moving forward. I put my foot on the accelerator to move forward, but to my surprise the vehicle stalled. Then I saw that the truck in front of me also stalled. This all happened within a split second! I immediately realized that the stalling of my vehicle prevented me from crashing into the truck.

START spreading the NEWS!

I am sure you have heard the words " start spreading the news" in the Frank Sinatra song "New York, New York". Well I am sure that the devil is probably singing " stop spreading the news". He is doing all he can to stop the news about the love of Jesus. He recently tried to stop one of my Facebook friends to tag a picture of the Bible!

Do you love yourself?

He was the happiest man on earth. He was about to marry his dream girl. Unfortunately she had other plans and dumped him for his cousin. The young man was shattered and very angry. His trust in women took a very deep dive. Will he ever recover? Fortunately, since he is only a character in a soap opera, he should recover after a week or so? However, consequences in real life just tend to be a lot more serious. How does one recover?

“ARE YOU…………?”

I recently asked Mike, “Are you a converted Christian? He answered, ”What do you mean, am I a converted Christian? I am a Christian all my life! I grew up in a Christian home. I went to Sunday school, was married in the church, baptized my children in the church and the rest. I read my Bible and pray every day. So yes, I’m a Christian.” As I didn’t want to offend Mike, I asked him to sit down and asked my wife for a nice cup of tea because I could see that here was much explaining to be done.

Revelation about the Bible

I was one of probably millions of people that would read the Bible and would say, "What's new? " or would listen to a sermon and say, "I heard that before?". The Bible became merely a guideline on how to live, what to do and what not to do. I believed and still do that the Bible is the best living guide you can buy. As with most guides though it ends up on a shelve somewhere and is only read when needed.

My attitude towards the Bible further deteriorated when I learned that there are differences between the hundreds of Bible translations. One serious difference I can recall is that in the old testament the word "hell" is used 28 times in the Modern King James translation and 0 times in the Afrikaans translation. Why the differences? The only acceptable explanation for me was that the Bible was interpreted instead of directly translated from the original Hebrew and Greek. Gracefully there are a few translations that has been literally translated from the original Greek and Hebrew scriptures. Obviously, I wanted to read as close as I could to the original scriptures and therefore bought a Young's Literal translation. However, reading the Bible became an exercise of comparing different translations. Then it all changed.

God the Locksmith

A few years ago a friend and I went for a weekend break to the small, but famous surfing spot, Jeffreys Bay. At the time I was driving an old, 1984 Opel Kadet. We were really looking forward to the break and wanted to be in J Bay as soon as possible.

Finally, we arrived with some daylight to spare and wanted to explore J Bay before settling in. Since guys normally pack very small, we decided to quickly unpack. However, the pawpaw struck the fan ( a local saying for describing a situation when something goes wrong), when I tried to unlock the boot.

Protecting that, which is Most Precious!

I am on a never-ending personal journey with God to discover more and more of His love; love that exceeds all knowledge. Since God is in me, I experience His love, which is rooted and founded in me. (Ef 3:17) Since I am in God, He feels all my love, all my joy, all my sadness, all my hurts, all my anger and all my fears. He is both my father and friend. I am really only beginning to discover the vastness of His love.

There are times though that He just feels a bit distant. Times, when I seem to revert to an old habit of worrying about my circumstances and future. Times, when I am just not sure why I think or feel the way I do. Times, when I say or do things that are detrimental to myself or others. Then there is always the glorious time when God reveals to me the cause of all the undesirable times. I recently had such an experience.

Power of Identity in God

God uses different means of leading us to discover our identity in Him and I would dare to say that, most of the time, we are unaware of when He is doing it. When I left to attend a course in mature adulthood, I had no idea that I was about to discover my identity in God. During the course the Holy Spirit lead me to understand, for the first time, the real meaning of Col 1:21 and Eph 3:17.  God is in me!
